Pacific Flight Services conducts aviation theory classes that meet or exceed the standard necessary to satisfactorily pass the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) written examinations for Private Pilot Licence theory and Commercial Pilot Licence theory.

 

PPL COURSE

The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) theory course includes all theory, notes and revision examinations necessary to pass the following five exams (examinations are held in-house at Pacific Flight Services):

  • Pre First Solo Examination
  • Pre Area Solo Examination
  • Flight Radio Operator Licence Examination (FROL)
  • Basic Aeronautical Examination (BAK)
  • Private Pilot Licence Examination (PPL)

 

You will need to bring the following items to PPL class:

  • Sydney Basin Visual Terminal Chart (VTC)
  • Sydney Visual Navigation Chart (VNC)
  • Sydney World Aeronautical Chart (WAC)
  • Sydney Terminal Area Chart (TAC)
  • Planning Chart Australia (PCA)
  • En-Route Supplement Australia (ERSA)
  • Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP)
  • Navigation Ruler
  • Compass
  • Aviation Slide Rule (Jeppesen CR2 preferred).
  • Aviation Training Centre (Trevor Thom) PPL Kit

 

PPL theory course is run part time over three consecutive weekends 0800-1300 daily.

PPL theory course includes all theory, notes and practice examinations to pass the first five exams (First Solo, Area Solo, FROL, BAK, PPL).

Cost: AUD$995.00 plus gst (gst excluded for full time 150 hour students).

CPL COURSE

The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) theory course includes all theory, notes and revision examinations necessary to pass the following seven CPL exams (examinations are conducted at an Assessment Services Limited examination centre):

  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination – LAW
  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination - HUMAN FACTORS
  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination - NAVIGATION
  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination - METEOROLOGY
  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination - AERODYNAMICS
  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination - AIRCRAFT GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Commercial Pilot Licence Examination - AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE OPERATIONS

 

In addition to PPL items you will need to bring the following items to CPL class:

  • Civil Aviation Regulations
  • Civil Aviation Orders
  • Civil Aviation Advisory Publication
  • Aviation Training Centre (Trevor Thom) CPL Kit

 

CPL theory course is run full time Monday to Friday over seven weeks 0800-1300 daily.

CPL theory course includes all theory, notes and practice examinations to pass the seven commercial exams (Law, HF, Nav, Met, Ady, AGK, APO).

Cost: AUD$3800.00 plus gst (gst excluded for full time 150 hour students).
