Pacific Flight Services is registered by ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) to provide the nationally recognised qualification AVI40108 Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence) in addition to the internationally recognised ICAO Australian CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) which is considered to be the highest standard Commercial Pilot Licence in the world. Indeed, pilots trained to the Australian standard are constantly in high demand by international airlines because of the breadth and depth of the Australian CASA DAY VFR Syllabus of Training.

Pacific Flight Services pride ourselves on being recognised at the forefront of Commercial Pilot Training in Australia and in delivery of the CASA DAY VFR Syllabus of Training.

Additionally Pacific Flight Services is approved by DEEWR (Department of Employment Education and Workplace Relations) to provide international students with a CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) which will enable them to receive a Student Visa and be eligible to conduct study in Australia.

Pacific Flight Services is approved to offer this course to overseas students.  Nationally accredited training courses fall under the Australian Government-administered Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF)  and is “competency-based training”.  That is, you either can demonstrate a skill and are Competent [C], or you cannot and are therefore Not Yet Competent [NYC] and require further training.  AQTF educational standards are highly-respected, and are recognised world-wide.

You will pass the Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence) holding a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) endorsed on your pilot licence and in your log book.

Additionally you may wish to add a Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating (MECIR) on your licence and log book including the navigation aids:

  • Non-Direction Beacon (NDB)
  • Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Radio Range (VOR)
  • Instrument Landing System (ILS), Locator (LOC)
  • Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)
  • Area Navigation (RNAV)
  • GPS En-route
  • Standard Instrument Departure (SID)
  • Standard Arrival Route (STAR)

These qualifications are recognised worldwide and the Australian standards for training are considered the best in the world.

Approval to offer this course, especially to overseas students, is very difficult to obtain. There are many strict requirements which must be met and continue to be met for as long as the school offers this course. It takes a long time and a lot of hard work to satisfy the regulatory bodies of a flying organisation’s standards and its ability to deliver the courses to a satisfactory CASA standard.

We are very proud of our registration and guard it jealously and will never do anything to jeopardise it.  This is something you can rely on absolutely and it gives you the confidence you want that we will always do our very best to ensure you succeed as quickly as possible.

Your success is our success.
